This Privacy Policy applies to Vedic Bharat Sansthan (referred to as “Vedic Bharat”, “we”, “our” or “us”), headquartered in Dombivali, Maharashtra, India. We are a registered Sansthan operating an online platform for guruji bookings, gemstone commerce, astrology consultations, the Vedic library and donations.

By using vedicbharat.net or vedic.onlineindia.tech you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy.

We collect only the information necessary to deliver our services:

• Account data — name, email, mobile, password (hashed via Argon2).
• Booking & consultation data — service requested, scheduled date/time, address, birth details for kundli (only when you submit them).
• Commerce data — shipping address, order history, GSTIN if provided.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see your card or UPI credentials.
• Donation data — donor name, address, PAN (only if you request 80G receipt).
• Technical data — IP address, browser, OS, timestamps. Used for security & abuse prevention.

• To create and operate your account.
• To fulfil bookings, orders, consultations and donations.
• To issue invoices and 80G receipts.
• To send transactional notifications (email + SMS).
• To prevent fraud and meet legal/regulatory obligations.
• To improve the platform with anonymous, aggregated analytics.

Data is stored on Indian servers behind TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed using Argon2. Payment processing is delegated entirely to Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). We retain records for the legally required period (typically 7 financial years for GST & 80G compliance).

• Razorpay — for payment processing.
• Shiprocket — for fulfilment of physical gemstone orders.
• Government authorities — only when legally required.
• Verified gurujis & astrologers — limited booking details required to deliver the service you requested.

• Access — request a copy of your data.
• Correction — update inaccurate data.
• Deletion — close your account; we retain financial records as required by law.
• Withdraw consent — opt out of non-transactional communications at any time.

We use only essential cookies (session, auth, CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

The platform is intended for users 18 years and above. Parents/guardians may transact on behalf of minors.
